Subha Saptami!

To be honest I was never a rangoli person, like I really was not knowing the basics of rangoli. Also if you observe any odia family traditions, they put rangoli during the last 5 days of holy month Kartika and not during the navratri time. 

But yeah, it's true that we Odias are very much inclined towards art and you can see the designs and patterns drawn during the Thursdays of Margasirsa /Agrahayana month by the help of rice paste. 

And then you grow up, and you move out of the city you belong to.. And you experience other cultures  and you slowly like them.. You live in them.. And that's how you adopt a city.. That's how you adopt a country . A whole new tradition and life goes on !

This was drawn on 7th day of Ashwini Shula paksha which is known as Saptami puja of the grand Dussera festival.
