Subha Saptami!

To be honest I was never a rangoli person, like I really was not knowing the basics of rangoli. Also if you observe any odia family traditions, they put rangoli during the last 5 days of holy month Kartika and not during the navratri time.
But yeah, it's true that we Odias are very much inclined towards art and you can see the designs and patterns drawn during the Thursdays of Margasirsa /Agrahayana month by the help of rice paste.

And then you grow up, and you move out of the city you belong to.. And you experience other cultures  and you slowly like them.. You live in them.. And that's how you adopt a city.. That's how you adopt a country . A whole new tradition and life goes on !

This was drawn on 7th day of Ashwini Shula paksha which is known as Saptami puja of the grand Dussera festival.

Random sunday!

The more you grow as an individual, the more you realize there is nothing like constant source of happiness. Happiness is something that you need to discover, you need to define and you need to have dedication towards it.
So if some point of time, when I feel not writing a blog or not making a painting or not investing time in some or other creative stuff ,making me feel void, then probably I am missing that part of mine, which keeps me content.

So not necessarily, everyone would find happiness in making something creative or so. But make sure you are not void, you are engaged. Your mind is engaged somewhere.
Make a run or hit the gym.. Cook a new or make a hairdo.
Most importantly love yourself!

The piece of rangoli was made on some random sunday evening by me and my super cute husband. One thing I really like about him that.. Even though he has no interest or so.. He will support me in whatever stuff I am interested in!
And that keeps the bond stronger day by day!

Ganesh Chaturthi!

This beautiful rangoli was designed on the eve of Ganesh Visarjan day of  our society.. Like..
It was an event organized.. Where each family can make one rangoli.. And we both made the same.
To be honest the idea of creating a separate blog post for specifically rangoli, came on that day, when a friend of mine, whom I consider as a nice human being told us like.." You both are into everything..!! You guys do writing.. Photography.. Painting and now rangoli too.." and thanks to her for noticing and I thought.. Like may be from last year or so (from the moment we started staying at Hyderabad and started making rangoli.. As I always say.. You must inherit the good qualities and a better life style from the city you stay), we have really made so many rangoli.. So why not a blog post for this?!
And that's how it came.

Well this design was made by me and my husband within an hour.. That was the time limit given.
It was a great fun!

Keep spreading love and positive vibes.

Day #3, Navratri 2018

This piece of art was made on the third day of navratri.. Could afford very less time.. And also it was almost weekend.

Had to run to office and other works were also pipelined.
Still tried to make a simple one.
Also the video will be live in YouTube soon.

Video about what? It's about the art and the beautiful celebration of colors and happiness!
Also the tiny little pots were hand painted and designed by #amigyan.

Stay happy. Keep spreading positive vibes.

Day #2, Navratri 2018

I always find it difficult to write on a picture.
Like writing a poetry on an incident or on a emotion is quite easy rather than writing stuffs on a picture.
But slowly you understand how a picture can talk.. How it depicts poetry and how each picture is unique and there is a story hidden behind a picture.
And that's how it is!
This I made on the second day of Navratri. A working day.. Office to go and very less time. But just followed my heart and tried a little.

Love and spread happiness.

Navratri 2018

Being from Odisha, where we encounter some or the other cyclone on every October, Navratri is something, we don't celebrate much. (And I am taking about the 90's..where the clubs haven't started organizing the dandiya nights or so.. Unlike of the current days!)

And then time comes when we move out of Odisha and get located at Mumbai(the city that never sleeps and celebrates every occasion), you really understand how vibrant the Navratri is! (like Ganesh chaturthi )

So when they say, the city, where you stay for a longer time...has a great impact in your life, believe me . They say it correct!

From the Navratri 2012 to till date... I never miss an opportunity to celebrate Navratri.. The musical dandiya nights.. The beautiful dress codes.. And the creative rangoli doors!

Today.. Even if I am no longer staying at Bombay, and moved to Hyderabad (the south central hub of IT and the city of nawabs), still I never stop celebrating Navratri.

And if you heard about it.. "They can move the boy out of Bombay  But they can not move Bombay out of the boy"  It's true. No matter where you go and where you stay.. You can never forget the rituals and the life style that you adopted.!and that's exactly what Bombay taught me!

So this post and the next few posts will be related to Rangolis made during each day's of Navratri, 2018.

P. S. The idea was from YouTube and was drawn by #amigyan on 1st day of Navratri

Spread Love and happiness. ❤️
Stay beautiful! ❤️
